We feed our Pit Bulls a mixed diet of raw poultry and a high protein dry food
that has whole grains and vegetables in it but the main ingredient is real
chicken (not by-product or meal). We also include uncooked bones in their
diet because cooked bones can splinter in their throat. We also give them 2
daily vitamins called Pet Tabs and Pet Cal from Pfizer®. We also give them
Advantage Multi® which control ticks and heartworm and Advantix® which
controls biting flies, fleas, ticks, and more. We also spray Fly's Off® on them.
All our dogs are up to date on distemper, corona virus, bordatella shots,
Rabies vaccine, and are free of worms and parasites.

bone (only give to adult dogs).

it's the next best thing to
Eukanuba. You can buy it at
Sam's Club. It cost about $22
for a 44 lb. bag. It's a good
food because the cost and
quality of the food. Its main

years and has a lot of whole

program where you can buy six bags
and get one free.

Turkey Necks-great source of protein
and the soft bones are great calcium
for them and they are cheap about .99
cents a lb. these are great for pups 6
months to a year old

Exercising your Pit Bull
Do not ever put your dog on any type of weights before they are at least a 1 1/2 years old to ensure proper bone development!

Things you need to build
your own spring pole.
|
|
|
|
|
|
1) A thick 3 knot rope (sold at Petsmart
and Petco for $15)
2) 2 mountain hanger clips (sold at
ACE Hardware for about $4 each)
3) 2 springs but the ones that are
closed at each end at doubled up
because they are stronger and will not
break (sold at ACE or Menards for
about $5 each)
4) Use the picture to assemble the
product. Real men don't need
instructions.
Total price- $33.00 (differs due to
prices in different stores but this is a
estimate and this spring pole should
last forever the only thing you'll have
to replace is the rope after wear and
tear).

This is not a picture of our spring pole but very similar.
You should start your pit bull on the spring
pole from as early as possible to get them
used to it just make sure rope is not to high
till about 6 months old because puppy
teeth can get damaged and new teeth
could be affected. So do not let your pit
bull hang on it unless they have adult teeth
some pit bulls take longer to get their adult
teeth so confirm it with your vet first. Spring
poles provide a great exercise and works
out a number of muscles including the jaw,
neck, chest, back and more. You can make
your own spring pole for about $33 and
then just clip the top of the spring pole to a
chain hanging from a sturdy tree and then
you don't need a spring pole stand.

We also run with our dogs on bikes so we can keep them at a fast paced movement (we do it on bikes
because its no lie that our pit bulls are in much better shape than us and we couldn't keep up with them
running on foot). Running them brings the defined muscle out of them while the spring pole bulks them
up so hand in hand they work great together. Running also gives them the endurance to keep working
out and not be tired as quickly its just the best cardio you can give your animal. If you cant walk your
dog everyday try using a regular treadmill that you use for yourself just leash him up to it and encourage
him to walk do not do this for more than 20 minutes and do not put it on the highest mode just a nice
paced jog. We recommend running on foot or bikes rather than a treadmill because they get to socialize
more and have the will to walk outside around the block than just walking with no purpose on a treadmill.

The all black Kong is the best chew toy
for a pit bull its nearly indestructible,
They cost about $20 but well worth it
you can even put little treats in them
and the dog will bite the toy to get it
out. It's a must to prevent chewing of
valuables. Pit bulls will chew if they
don't have a toy or bone to chew on.
